Does Taco Bell Put Onions In Their Tacos/Burritos?

Taco Bell has many delicious items on its menu. You have the Doritos Tacos, hard shell tacos, soft tacos, beefy 5 layer burrito, cheesy bean and rice burrito, nachos and cheese, cheesy gordita crunch, and so many more options.

While each location may offer different menu options, Taco Bells across the U.S. have the same food assembly process. You can pretty much expect the same great taste no matter which Taco Bell you decide to dine in.

Since all Taco Bells follow the same food assembly process, you can expect the same ingredients at each location. Does Taco Bell use onions in their tacos or burritos?

If you’re not a fan of onions, can they make your taco or burrito without onions?

Taco Bell does not use onions in its tacos. Typically all that comes in a taco is lettuce, cheese, and meat. If you order a taco supreme you get a few more ingredients like tomatoes and sour cream. There will never be onions in your Taco Bell tacos.

Taco Bell does have some burritos that come with onions. Typically just the bean burrito and the burrito supreme come with onions.

If you are not a fan of onions, you are able to customize your burrito. You can ask that the onions be removed.

What Is Fresco Style At Taco Bell?

When you are trying to eat healthier, it can seem like it is impossible to enjoy going out to eat anymore. Plus, if this is a new diet that you are trying, it can be very tempting to fall into old habits and order the tastiest menu item instead of the healthiest.

At Taco Bell, eating Fresco is a great way to choose the healthy option and still enjoy your favorite meal. What exactly does it mean to eat Fresco style at Taco Bell?

When you choose a Fresco menu item it simply means your food item will come with diced tomatoes. Fresco styles mean that mayo-based sauces, cheese, and sour cream will be replaced with freshly diced tomatoes.

Eating Fresco at Taco Bell used to mean that it would be replaced with Pico de Gallo, but in recent years it has changed to just being diced tomatoes. If you are counting calories, by making your tacos and burritos Fresco style, you can save your calories for other things.

What Happened To Taco Bell’s Verde Sauce?

Every restaurant has a habit of changing its menu. You finally found your favorite item on the menu only to find that it no longer exists a month later.

Thankfully, with Taco Bell, most of their items eventually make a reappearance or can be found in stores. What about Verde sauce? Why was Taco Bell’s green sauce removed from the store?

Taco Bell pulled Verde sauce from its stores back in 2016. Apparently, not enough customers used it to make it worth carrying in stores anymore. However, you can find Verde sauce online or occasionally in stores.

Verde sauce is, unfortunately, one of the many items that Taco Bell has removed from its menu. Here are some other fan favorites that just didn’t make the cut.

  • Double-Decker Taco
  • Mexican Pizza
  • Nacho Crunch Grilled Stuffed Burrito
  • Bell Beefer
  • Cool Ranch Tacos
  • Caramel Empanadas
  • 7-Layer Burrito
  • Beefy Fritos Burrito
  • Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes
  • Grilled Steak Soft Taco
  • Loaded Grillers
  • Nachos Supreme
  • Spicy Potato Soft Taco
  • Triple Layer Nachos

Just because these items were all removed from the menu does not mean that they can’t make a comeback. Nacho fries were removed from the menu until Taco Bell felt the pushback from fans.

Now, nacho fries make their comeback at various times throughout the year.

What Sauces Does Taco Bell Use?

When you take a bite into a Taco Bell burrito all the delicious tastes hit your mouth. You not only taste all the meats and cheese, but you also taste the delicious sauces.

All these flavors work well together to create a delicious tasting burrito. What exactly are the sauces that Taco Bell uses? Do they use just the Mild, Hot, and Fire that they have in store, or are there other sauces?

Taco Bell uses more than the sauce packets that they hand out to customers. Here are a few of the different sauces that Taco Bell uses on its menu items.

  • Spicy Ranch: This sauce is a bit more on the tangy-sweet side rather than the spicy side. There is still a kick to it but it is one of Taco Bell’s more mild sauces. This sauce on your food is great if you love ranch.
  • Creamy Jalapeno: This may sound like an extremely spicy sauce, but does not taste as hot as it sounds. This sauce is rich, creamy, and has just a little bit of a kick. You can add this to any of the menu items to add an extra kick of spice to your food.
  • Avocado Ranch: Here is more ranch for all the ranch lovers. This sauce combines avocados and ranch, two of the best food items. If you loved their Mexican pizzas, this sauce was one of the reasons why. You can still ask for it to be added to any of your current favorite menu items.

Who Makes Taco Bell’s Sauces?

Taco Bell is known for many things; it has great food at minimal cost, Baja Blast can always be found there, and their cravings boxes. One of the more recognizable things that Taco Bell restaurants may be known for is their sauce packets.

They have various heat levels of sauces that all come in packaging with quirky or sarcastic sayings. Who is responsible for supplying Taco Bell with their delicious sauces and sayings?

Kraft foods supply Taco Bell with its sauces. Taco Bell held a contest back in 2008 allowing customers to come up with clever sayings for its sauce packets.

While it may not be known exactly why or how Taco Bell started writing on sauce packets, it is definitely what its sauce packets are more known for. You can even buy merchandise that is made to look like sauce packets from Taco Bell.

Final Thoughts

Typically, you will only find onions in your bean burrito. If you want onion in other food items, all you need to do is ask.

You can also ask to customize your food by making it Fresco or adding one of Taco Bell’s many delicious sauces.
