From the beginning Olive Garden has served unlimited breadsticks with their meals. These delicious garlic breadsticks are a favorite of many people (myself included). 

As soon as you sit down a basket of warm breadsticks is brought to your table. These breadsticks get passed around the table as an appetizer while you are waiting for your main course to arrive. 

Are these breadsticks free though? 

As long as you order something to eat while at Olive Garden the breadsticks will be free with your meal. Unlimited breadsticks are only for dine-in customers however. 

If you place an order for pick-up, you will get one round of breadsticks, usually six breadsticks, with your order. If you want more than that you will need to order more and in turn you will have to pay for them. 

If you love Olive Garden’s breadsticks then you will want to dine in so you can enjoy an unlimited amount of them. 

Can You Order Just Breadsticks From Olive Garden?

Olive Garden breadsticks are deliciously addictive. Many people view these breadsticks as a comfort food. 

But can you order just the breadsticks at Olive Garden? 

You can order just breadsticks to go at Olive Garden but if you want unlimited breadsticks while eating in the restaurant you will have to order more than just breadsticks. 

Olive Garden is a popular place to eat. Sometimes, you might just want to order some breadsticks to take home. You can order online or call the restaurant to place an order for pick-up. 

You can order a half a dozen breadsticks or even a dozen breadsticks. What is even better than that is that you can order fresh breadsticks or you can choose to order frozen breadsticks that you can bake yourself whenever you have a craving for fresh warm Olive Garden breadsticks. 

With Olive Garden’s frozen breadsticks, you could even order them ahead of time and then bake them before a big family dinner. My family would love to have some Olive Garden breadsticks when we have our big family dinners. 

There are a lot of people who have a hard time making biscuits, dinner rolls, or breadsticks from scratch so this would be an amazing option for them.

How Much Are Olive Garden’s Breadsticks?

If you want to order a side of breadsticks for pickup or carry out, you are probably wondering how much these delicious breadsticks are. 

At my local Olive Garden an order of a half dozen breadsticks costs $3.99 while an order of a dozen breadsticks is $6.29. You can order those breadsticks frozen or fresh. 

You will want to make sure that you check the prices at your local restaurant as it can vary based on where you live. You can check the prices by going to Olive Garden’s website and then you will simply click on the order online button to see the menu and prices that your local Olive Garden offers.

How Do You Keep Olive Garden’s Breadsticks Fresh? 

You have some breadsticks from Olive Garden that you have either taken home with you from the restaurant or that you have ordered for a pick-up and now you want to know how to keep them fresh. 

Keep them in the little package that Olive Garden sends them in. This breadstick bag will be used later in the reheating process. 

Since Olive Garden’s breadsticks are covered in butter it is best for you to keep them in your fridge for up to three days, you can also freeze them and keep them even longer if you wish. 

However, if you are wanting to freeze the breadsticks then I recommend purchasing the frozen breadsticks from Olive Garden. To reheat your breadsticks and have them taste just as fresh as when you eat them in the restaurant you will want to use an oven and the breadstick bag that they came in. 

The directions for reheating Olive Garden’s breadsticks are printed on the breadstick bag. 

You will need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the oven has warmed up you will place the breadsticks inside of the bag into the oven. The bag that Olive Garden wraps their breadsticks in has a foil liner which is designed to help the breadsticks reheat in the oven without losing any of the moisture that is in the breadsticks. 

You wouldn’t want a dry and hard breadstick. Leave them in the oven for five minutes to warm them through.

If you do not have the bag that the breadsticks came in then you can still warm them up in the oven but you will want to wrap them in foil. You could place them on a baking sheet then cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil. Bake the breadsticks at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for five minutes.

What if you do not have access to an oven? If all you have available to you is a microwave to reheat your breadsticks then you need to make sure that you do not use the bag that the breadsticks were sent home in. 

The breadstick bag is lined with foil which is hazardous for the microwave. It can start a fire in your microwave so be sure to discard the bag if you are going to use the microwave to reheat your Olive Garden breadsticks. 

Instead, you will want to use a damp paper towel. Get a paper towel wet and wring out any excess water. You want it to be damp, not soaking. Then wrap this towel around your breadsticks. 

Next, you will want to get a dry paper towel to place over the damp towel. If you are able to, reduce the power of your microwave to about 50 percent. Then, cook the breadsticks for about a minute to a minute and a half. 

The damp paper towel will help to keep the breadsticks soft. Reducing the power of your microwave will also help to keep the breadsticks from getting hard and dry.

Olive Garden has been a popular restaurant for special occasions since they first opened their doors in the early 1980’s. People frequent the restaurant for anniversaries, dates, dinner before Prom, and birthdays.

When celebrating your birthday at Olive Garden you will not get a free meal but you will get a free dessert to go along with your meal. The servers at Olive Garden will sing Happy Birthday to you as well.
